Introduction

Dear Colleagues,

As we all know, the field of retina is rapidly changing with new innovations in retinal diagnostics, therapeutics and our understanding of retinal disease pathophysiology.

The objective of this Retina update meeting is to provide a comprehensive overview of these new directions in our field, which all of us as ophthalmologists caring for patients with retinal disease must be aware of.

To achieve this goal, we are bringing together a group of renowned clinicians and scientists from around the world to share their collective expertise with us.

We will address the breadth of retinal diseases including age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular diseases, and inherited retinal degenerations.
We will focus on new disease mechanisms, novel diagnostics, and emerging therapeutics. We will also include time for discussion and engagement with the experts, as we all learn to gather.

We hope that you will join us in the fabulous city of Venice for this meeting.

Sincerely,
Edoardo Midena, SriniVas Sadda, Giovanni Staurenghi
